Lately in game design we have been working with different forms of motion graphics, we have worked with after effects, animation, and premiere. These there motion graphics all formed different challenges for me. The First motion graphic was after effects which in mots way was very simple, but for my first time using it was very complicated I remember when I was working on and assignment where I had to make a video showcasing an avatar I made and 5 different things about me; though there was very little to the assignment it still took me a long period of time, because of the effects that we had to apply to the video. The effect was a simple moving line across my name but due to complications I had to work on that simple line for a whole day trying to get my effect but since I didn't work with effects for long so I am not able to elaborate. The next motion graphic that I worked with was animation, this application is one that I have been unable to master because of how much time and dedication animation requires you to have. Animation is also the only motion graphic that I have worked with that requires you to hand draw pieces of your artwork to animate this application because very annoying very quickly. The last motion graphic that I have worked with is premiere I just began to work with premiere 5 days ago and frankly it is my favorite of all the motion graphic because it is the simplest, the hardest part about premiere is keeping track of your timing but since I don't have enough insight to go on to give a full scale picture I will have to cut myself of here.

We have started a new unit for game design this unit is focusing on editing and video, even though this is my second time taking this class, this is the unit that I feel most comfortable in. Mainly because it requires a much simpler production process then all the other units provided. For this unit we are beginning with making videos with pictures which is a simple assignment to help use get used to the system we are now using which is adobe premiere we haven’t gotten far in the topic so there is not much to speak about but when I have done more with this topic I will be going more in depth.
Lately in game design we have been working on 2d animation at the beginning of this process we started of with working with traditional animation which was a very time consuming and agitating process if you don't know what traditional animation is it is when you animate be drawing every individual frame hand by hand this which is why it was very time consuming. After experiencing the horrors of traditional animation which I still have to finish up on, we began to dive into easier ways to animate all the animation we are doing in class is being done in Adobe animate; through out the animation unit we have done a total of 4 assignment out of the 4 I have done 3 which mainly because of my lack of focus so for me this unit is not going as planned but we shall persevere
Idle animation in my understanding is when a player is leaves a game the character animation is given movement to make it seem as if it is a living creature in a different world. My favorite video game idle animation would be from "sonic Advance", within this video game sonic is appearing too be telling the player that he is ready to run and play, this movement is him giving the player a thumbs up hopping and pointing into the direction of the running path. what appeals to me about this specific idle animation is that it gives you thing feeling that the game characters are actually motivating you to push on, and because for this the game just becomes more and more addicting as you play on. Though the animation in it self has some lag to it (meaning it doesn't have the most natural ), such as how when sonic jumps if feels like there is a short of time where it seems like he paused in mid air then came down to land as if sonic was flying, but even though there were some mistakes within the animation, the movement applied to sonic and the rest of the "sonic Advance characters" the animation movement applied does still mimic life to the point the character seems to be alive and functioning.
